Estancia

Welcome to the estancia home

At Estancia Don Joaquin you will be become part of our family.  We will ride with you, take you fishing, teach you about the local birds and wildlife, dine together and share our stories, culture and traditional ways of life.  My family is deeply rooted in the Corrientes province having lived and worked here for five generations.  I feel privileged to live on this estancia and to carry on my ancestors traditions and to share with you the warmth of a traditional Argentinian family.  My husband, Diego, and I along with our sons, Ramon and Diego, and our daughter, Josefina, would be honored to have you stay with us.

For 22 years we have worked with members of the Ramirez family, Roque, our chief gaucho, and his sons.  They are all woven into everyday life at our estancia, caring for the livestock, accompanying us on horseback rides, preparing asado, and are an integral part of helping us to provide an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Preserving culture, history and nature and supporting our local community is important to all of us at Estancia Don Joaquin.  Here you will have the opportunity to be involved with the gauchos, to learn about their way of life and how they work with the horses and cattle.  We aim to explore the natural life of the Corrientes region in a non-invasive manner and are eager to share with you its beauty.  Horseback riding, fishing and wildlife safaris provide excellent opportunities to enjoy and learn about the subtropical ecosystem of the area.

Our family, along with the gauchos and staff, will create custom made programs for each of our guests to ensure you get the most out of your holiday.

We look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely ~ Angie Solanet
